NOT READY SENSE KEY CODES
² If the library front door is open, closing the door causes the library to rein-
itialize and go into a ready state.
² If the library is in an inoperable state, reinitialize the library using the
operator panel.
² If the library is in maintenance mode, take the library out of this mode using
the operator panel or CSE port.
NOT READY, MAINTENANCE MODE
LMM Message: 2481: Sense Data - Not Ready, Maintenance Mode
Explanation:
The library was placed in maintenance mode from the operator panel or CSE port.
NOT READY, CARTRIDGE ACCESS PORT OPEN
LMM Message: 23A2: Sense Data - Not Ready, Cartridge Access Port Open
Explanation:
The library detected that the CAP is open and a SCSI command was issued to access
the CAP.
NOT READY, CLEANING CARTRIDGE INSTALLED
LMM Message: 2303: Sense Data - Not Ready, Cleaning Cartridge Installed
Explanation:
The library is performing an Auto Clean function on the data transfer element (tape
drive) requested.
DEFAULT
LMM Message: 2nn: Sense Data - Not Ready, Unknown Sense
Explanation:
The ASC or ASCQ code is an unknown code.
