Rebooting with
the New Image
and Verifying
Installation
As an added security feature, you must be connected to the serial
console throughout this section.
After the image has been downloaded and installed, it can be verified
by way of the CLI command,
show sys software info. For
example, after downloading and installing an update, the response to
show sys software info might look like the example shown
below.
NOTE: If any errors
occurred during
installation, the
show
sys software info
command may display the
image as installed, but the
downloaded image is not
safe to use. Use
config
sys software
delete
to delete the
image and repeat the
installation before
continuing. If the
problem persists, contact
HP Customer Support.
The data above indicates that version 2.4 of SA8220 software has
been installed and is ready for service.
1. Verify your connection to the serial console.
2. To activate the new image, type this command:
config sys software boot 1
This causes the SA8220 to reboot under the new image. This
command can also be used to restore the previous version of
software.
