
add iscsi-connection
The -add iscsi-connection command adds a new iSCSI connection to an existing VC server
profile.
NOTE: The -add iscsi-connection command can be executed only if the current VC
domain is managing one or more VC modules that support iSCSI connections.
Syntax
-add iscsi-connection –profilename <profileName>
[-network <NetworkName>]
[-speedtype <auto|preferred|custom>]
[-speed <speed>]
Parameters

-profilename
xThe name of an existing
network to associate with the
-network
connection. If the network
name is not specified, the
network is unassigned and
can be assigned later.
xThe requested operational
speed for the server port.
-speedtype
Valid values include auto,
preferred and custom.
Default value is preferred
The following list describes
the speed type:
• Auto—Allocates
maximum port speed
constrained by the
maximum configured
speed for the network
• Preferred—Speed of the
network matches the
preferred speed of the
network to which the
connection is associated.
NOTE: If no preferred
speed is configured, the
network speed defaults to
auto.
• Custom—Configures any
speed from 100Mb to the
maximum configured
speed for the network in
100Mb increments.

-speed is required if
-speedtype is set to
custom.
The user-defined speed for
a server port. Valid values
include 100Mb to the
maximum configured speed
for the network in 100Mb
