FCHECK –SCAN results are also reported to and cause an alarm on the HP
NonStop Open System Mangement (OSM) interface.
You can use FCHECK –SCAN inside an HP Tandem Advanced Command
Language (TACL) macro or other automatic mechanism. Because OSM
alarms show any problems that could not be fixed, you can then use
these alarms to help you correct the problems. When the problem is
corrected, you can delete the alarm or rerun FCHECK –SCAN to confirm
the repair and update the OSM alarm status.
