Removing a drive blank

Remove the component as indicated.

CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless

all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.

Installing a hot-plug SATA hard drive

1. Remove the drive blank ("Removing a drive blank" on page 39).

2. Prepare the drive.
