1 Activating the operating system

Internet: Connect the thin client to the Internet so the operating system will activate automatically.

Telephone: Display the charms, select Settings, select Change PC settings, select Activate Windows,

select

Activate by phone, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Proxy server: Congure a proxy server to activate multiple thin clients. For more information, see the

Proxy activation section of Managing Activation Using the Volume Activation Management Tool (VAMT) at

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ 686876.aspx#_Toc254001283.

NOTE: The operating system must be activated for full functionality. You do not need to disable Unied

Write Filter (UWF) to activate the operating system.
