Installing the SCSI Interface Cable
1. Before you install the 68-pin SCSI cable from the Fibre Channel converter to the
server, check that the tape library and the Fiber Channel converter are both
powered off. Refer to Appendix A, Multimode Fiber Optic Cables for a listing of
SCSI part numbers.
2. Connect the 68-pin SCSI cable to the SCSI channel port on the Fibre Channel
converter. See Figure 3-2, Rear Panel Components, on page 3-2.
3. Connect the other end of the 68-pin SCSI cable to a supported SCSI port on a
NonStop S-series server.
Installing Fiber Interface Cables
1. Connect one end of the fiber cable to the Fiber Channel interface card. See
Figure 3-8, Example of the Fibre Channel Converter Configuration with a L700
Tape Library and a NonStop S-series Server, on page 3-8.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the GBIC on the Fibre Channel converter.
See Figure 3-5, Location of the GBIC on the Fibre Channel Converter, on
page 3-6.
