Printing the Event List
You can only view the list from the Recovery/Integrated Management Log. To
print the list, follow these instructions:
1. From the Insight Manager, select the appropriate server. The selected
server is displayed with buttons around its perimeter.
2. Select Configuration.
3. Select Recovery.
4. Select Print.
Compaq Survey Utility
The Compaq Survey Utility is a serviceability tool for Windows 2000,
Windows NT, SCO UnixWare, and Novell NetWare that delivers online
configuration capture and comparison information to maximize server
availability. The utility is available on the Compaq Management CD in the
SmartStart package, or on the Compaq website:
http://www.compaq.com
NOTE: Refer to the Compaq Management CD for information on installing and running the
Survey Utility.
After the Survey Utility is run, you can view the IML by loading the utility
output (typically called SURVEY.TXT) into a text viewer such as Microsoft
Notepad. The event list follows the system slot information. Once you have
opened the text file, you can print it using the print feature of the viewer. For
more information on the List of Events, refer to the Compaq ProLiant Servers
Troubleshooting Guide located on the Compaq Server Documentation CD.
