QLogic HBAs with Windows
To enable persistent binding with QLogic HBAs:
1. Launch Sansurfer. This application can be downloaded from hp.com or qlogic.com.
2. Connect to Localhost. The utility displays all QLogic HBAs recognized in the system.
3. Select the port on the HBA to be enabled for persistent binding.
4. Select the Target Persistent Binding tab.
5. Bind the WWPN to a Target ID.
6. Click Save, and enter the password on the security check popup. If this is the first time you have
used the SanSurfer application, and you have not changed the default password, the password
is config.
7. Restart the server to make the changes effective.
The HBA saves this information. It makes no difference in what order the arrays are scanned. The
HBA assigns the saved target ID to the WWPN.
