Using VLAN tags in a Hyper-V VM network

Insight Orchestration 6.2 supports VLAN tagging with Hyper-V VM guests. VLAN tagging

support requires using HP Network Configuration Utility (NCU) to create vNICS for each VLAN

on the Hyper-V hosts and an associated Hyper-V virtual switch.

To configure your system so that HP Insight Orchestration can provision tagged Hyper-V guests,

complete the following steps.

NOTE: This procedure assumes an existing system with Hyper-V installed, and at least one

NIC connected to an 802.1Q network carrying multiple VLAN IDs. For information on adding

a network for use by the Hyper-V VM host, see “Setting up a Hyper-V virtual machine network”).

1. Install and launch the HP Network Configuration Utility (NCU).
