Harry asked if he deleted the restore points and turned off "System Restore",
could someone still access what was in the unused space? The answer is yes
until it is overwritten.
Sherry had a client who needed a way into AOL since he has lost his password.
Jon said he could sign into the master account and click on Change Password.
He did not need the old password since it was built into the computer. Someone
asked if you can get support from aol if you no longer have an account. Jon said
no, but he paid $4 a month to get support and a dialup connection for limited
hours per month.
Harry told of a client with a dialup line and no antivirus that was so badly infected
that he could not clean it. He was surprised that someone could get that badly
infected with a slow dialup line. Harry mentioned Kapersky's TDSS Killer, saying
it was a good program to detect rootkits. Jon said Combofix had a log for rootkits.
Francis Chao stated that Combofix calls up GMER, which creates a log to tell
you if it finds and expunges a rootkit.

of money, but Social Security is still using them nationwide so it is costing IBM a
lot to have maintained them for 58 years.
Bernard Bell mentioned that, at the Digital Imaging SIG, Steve Dell said slide
scanners are very cheap on EBay, since people no longer need them when they
have finished scanning their slides.
Someone asked if anyone knew of a picture management program that would
remove duplicates. Jon Griebel noted that each time you save a JPG file, it
becomes smaller, so you can't just compare two files. One attendee mentioned
"Beyond Compare" (http://www.scootersoftware.com/) used in programming. Bill
Burke mentioned WinMerge (http://winmerge.org/) that displays two files side by
side and shows the differences. Danny Hollingsworth knew of a company using
Beyond Compare daily as a security measure.
Sherry asked for a simple CRM program for one person, not a network. Jon
mentioned "Sage Timeslips" and Harry mentioned "Autotask" for large
companies and Zoho for smaller companies. One attendee stated that a
