a. On the SNMP Credentials section, complete the following tasks to set the SNMP credentials:
i. To set the SNMP v1/ v2 Read Community Name, select the Set v1/v2 Read Community Name
check box, type the SNMP v1/v2 Community name for the device or group of devices in the rst
text box, and then type the name again in the second text box to conrm the credential.
ii. To set the SNMP v1/ v2 R/W Community Name, select the Set v1/v2 R/W Community Name
check box, type the SNMP v1/v2 Read/ Write Community name for the device or group of
devices in the rst text box, and then type the name again in the second text box to conrm the
credential.
iii. To set the SNMP v3 credentials, select the Set v3 Credentials check box, and then complete the
following steps:
1. Type the SNMP name in the User Name text box.
2. Type the Authentication Passphrase, and then type the passphrase again to conrm.
3. Select the Authentication Protocol (MD5 or SHA).
4. Type the Privacy Passphrase, and then type the passphrase again to conrm.
NOTE: If the device requires key credentials, Security Manager automatically converts
the passphrase.
5. Select the Privacy Protocol (DES or AES).
b. On the Other Credentials section, complete the following tasks to set the credentials:
i. Select the Set Admin (EWS) Password check box, type the administrative password set in the HP
Embedded Web Server, and then type the password again to conrm.
ii. Select the Set File System Password check box, type the password for the le system on the
device, and then type the password again to conrm.
iii. Select the Set PJL Password check box, type the password for the Printer Job Language on the
device, and then type the password again to conrm.
iv. Select the Set Bootloader Password check box, type the password for the bootloader on the
device, and then type the password again to conrm.
c. Click Congure to save the entries

Click Cancel to discard the entries.
Copy and Paste options
NOTE: Make sure to select a single device congured with credentials.
a. After selecting Copy, select the Paste option in Set Credentials.
b. Select Yes to conrm the copy/paste credential operation.

Select No to cancel the copy/paste credential operation.
Reset option
