NOTE: This option is disabled when Security Manager uses a demo license.

6. Select the Email Results check box when the task type selected is Assess and Remediate (Optional).

NOTE: This check box is only visible when a valid SMTP Server name is set up in Automated Output

settings. The Email Results feature is not available for the Assess only task.

If checked, an email will be sent when a Assess and Remediate task completes including the task and

policy name, the device group, and basic highlights from the results.

7. Select a policy to use for the assessment from the Policy drop-down list.

NOTE: An invalid (incomplete) policy cannot be selected for an assessment.

8. Select the Start Date and Start Time.

9. Select the Frequency (Once, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly).

Once is the default selected option and allows you to run a one time assessment or remediation.

10. Click Save to schedule the assessment.

11. On the Tasks or Devices or Policies page, click the Refresh icon to update the list panel.

NOTE: You can review a task from the Tasks page.

Task page navigation

This section provides the controls and icons in the Tasks page:

Total tasks selected control: Located below the task list panel and displays the number of tasks selected in

the Tasks page.

●

Tasks toolbar icons: This toolbar is located above the Tasks list panel and allows you to modify a task.

Refresh — Updates the task list panel.

Column Organizer — Allows you to select or deselect the columns to display in the Task list panel or

use the Reset to Default button.

Start — Allows you to run a task for a device group.

–

Rename — Allows you to change the name of a task in the Rename Task window.

Edit — Allows you to edit a task.

–

Delete — Allows you to delete a task.

Tasks List Panel: Displays tasks in a column.

Tasks List Panel:

Status — Displays the icons for a task.

–

Name — Displays the policy name used by a task. It is not applicable for Verify and Discovery tasks.
