Notification Message Error Code

Received

If the MSDP router receives a NOTIFICATION messages from the

neighbor, the message contains an error code corresponding to one

of the following errors. me errors have subcodes that clarify the

reason for the error. Where applicable, the subcode messages are

listed underneath the error code messages.

• – Message Header Error

• – SA-Request Error

• – SA-Message/SA-Response Error

• – Hold Timer Expired

• – Finite State Machine Error

• – Notification

• – Cease

For information about these error codes, see section 17 in the Internet

draft describing MSDP, “draft-ietf-msdp-spec”.
