Note above that after changing the Cluster ID on the ‘secondary’ gateway that the ‘cluster name’

and ‘node role’ on the ‘secondary’ gateway has now changed and has inherited the ‘cluster name’

from the primary gateway. Also the secondary gateway has taken on the node role of ‘standby’

Verify VMA SAN Gateways have established Redundant Pair

Issue the ‘show cluster global’ CLI command on the ‘primary’ gateway to verify the ‘Cluster node

count’ is now 2 along with the status of the ‘primary’ and ‘secondary’ gateway nodes with one

showing as ‘master’ and the other as ‘standby’ status. Also issue the ‘show cluster global’ CLI

command on the ‘secondary’ gateway to validate it is synchronized with the ‘primary’ gateway.

Verify that both the ‘primary’ and ‘secondary’ gateways have the “Cluster master IF” configured to

be “eth0” and that the management VIP address has been inherited by the ‘secondary’ gateway.

On ‘primary’ gateway:
