3. The Installation wizard sets up a link to the Web Management Interface on the host’s desktop and

gives you the option of launching it.

The H P D2D Backup System does not appear as a device under My Com p ute r and it is not mapped

to a drive let ter (although it can be seen as a tape drive ( 1) and medium changer (2)fromDevice

Manager

). Use a backup application on the host machine to back up and restore data.

4. Run the Installation wiza rd on any other hosts that are to be backed up—six is the maximum. On

running the wizard on subsequent hosts, you only need to select the HP D2D Backup System; its

network set tings have already been assigned.
