A storage partition administrator can view the Identity pane, but cannot change anything.

Serial Number: Serial number of the connected array
IP Address: IP address of the connected array (SVP)
Device Name: Device name of the connected array. This can be changed if you are in Modify
mode. This is a required eld (maximum 180 alphanumeric characters).
NOTE:
Do not add a space before or after the device name or an error will occur when you click Apply.
Also, donot usethe followingsymbols: ", \, ;,:,,,*,?, <,>,|,/,^, &,or%.
NOTE:
Thedevicenameisrequiredtouse SNMP Agent. Be sure to document thedevice name
because the settings are cleared if the SVP is replaced. For more information on SNMP, see
Setting SNMP Agent Properties”onpage131.
Contact: Device support contact information, such as personnel and telephone numbers, where
you can inquire about the connected array. You can change the contact information in Modify
mode. Thisisarequired eld (maximum 180 alphanumeric characters). Do not use the following
symbols: ", \, ;, :, ,, *, ?, <, >, |, /, ^, &, or %. For more information on SNMP, see
Setting SNMP Agent Properties” on page 131.

re Version Main: Version of the microcode installed in the connected array.
Firmware Version SVP: Version of the XP Remote Web Console Java™ applet program installed
in the SVP of the connected array.
Firmware Version Server: Version of the RMI™ server installed in the SVP of the connected array.
Devic
eView: Product name and visual image (picture) of the connected array.
