Description Adds unused, available space in an array to the speciﬁed LUN.

Syntax extend unit <u

nit><sizing option>

Operands <unit>

The LUN to whic

hthespacewillbeadded.

<sizing option>, where sizing option equals one of the following:

add_size=<x

xxx>MB|GB—Speciﬁes how much of the available space

in the array to add to the LUN, where <xxxx>representsthesize. You

must specify if the size is MB or GB. If no size is speciﬁed, the maximum

available sp

ace of the included disks is assigned to the array.

new_size=<xxxx>MB|GB—This option can be used instead of add_size

to enter the total new size of the LUN, where <xxxx>representsthesize.

YoumustspecifyifthesizeisMBorGB.

Example

To extend unit 2 by 1,000 MB:

CLI> extend unit 2 add_size=1000MB

The actual new volume size will be 1992MB.

Unit 2 is being extended.

Use “show unit 2” to monitor progress.
