You use the container extend mvolume command to extend a
multi-level container of volume sets. The container extend
mvolume set command has no attributes.
Understanding How to Extend a Multi-level Container of Volume Sets
This section provides an example that describes how to extend a
multi-level container of volume sets.
Before extending a multi-level container of volume sets, use the
container list command to display information about your
containers, as in the following example. In the example, the Type
column indicates that container 0 is a multi-level volume set made
up of underlying containers 63 and 62, and that containers 1 and 2
are single-level volume sets.

To extend the multi-level container of volume sets on container 0,
use the container extend mvolume command, as in the
following example. In the example, container 0 is extended by
adding containers 1 and 2.
