Conguring the printer

IMPORTANT: When changing any of the printer settings, be extremely careful to avoid inadvertently

changing other settings that might aect the performance of the printer.

1. Open the receipt cover. If no paper is in the printer, follow the instructions for loading paper.

2. Turn the printer so the back is facing you.

3. Open the receipt cover. Place the eraser end of a pencil on the reset button and then press down on the

button while holding the paper feed button.

The printer beeps and prints the diagnostic form and the conguration main menu.

The printer pauses and waits for a main menu selection to be made (see the following sample printout).

4. Follow the printed instructions on the scrolling menu by pressing the paper feed button as indicated in

the following illustration to make selections.
