LABEL is set.
This example assumes that IA32 uses
GRUB as the boot loader. When you use IPF
that uses
ELILO as the boot loader, the mount point is displayed as /boot/efi
instead of
/boot (in the line where /boot is coded), and the file system type is
displayed as
vfat instead of ext3.
Remove the
LABEL setting in the /etc/fstab file according to the information
for the mounted file system. Perform steps 6 to 8 to remove the
LABEL setting in
the
/etc/fstab file.
For Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, because there is a function for setting fixed
names to disk devices, aside from LABEL, block device names starting with
UUID= are also sometimes set. If a block device name is set, replace LABEL with
the block device name starting with
UUID=, and follow the procedure for when
LABEL is used.
If a block device name starting with
UUID= is set, go to step 5. If one is not set,
go to step 6.
If you are using SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 10 or SUSE LINUX Enterprise
Server 11, the device name (
udev name) might have been specified not only for
the
LABEL setting, but also in the /dev/disk directory. In this case, replace
LABEL with the device name (udev name) in the /dev/disk directory, and then
perform the same procedure as when
LABEL is used.
If the device name (
udev name) is specified in the /dev/disk directory, go to
step 5. If not, go to step 6.
5. If the block device name or the
udev name was specified in steps 3 and 4, execute
the following commands to check the SCSI device.
