Meridian MAX

2 The second is between Meridian MAX 8 platforms, such as upgrading
an IPE system’s software to an SNN system’s software, providing you
completed the necessary hardware changes during an installation
upgrade.
Upgrading from Meridian MAX 3 through 7
If you are currently running one of the following systems, refer to the
Meridian MAX 8 Upgrade Guide (NTP 553-4001-210) for the specific
upgrade procedure to upgrade to a Meridian MAX 8:
• a Meridian MAX 3 or 4 single- or dual-module system
• a Meridian MAX IPE 4.6 system
• a Meridian MAX 5, 6, 7 system
Upgrading from ACD-MAX 3 and 4 systems
If you are currently running an ACD-MAX 3 or 4 system, you must first
upgrade to a Meridian MAX 6 before upgrading to Meridian MAX 8.
Contact your Nortel representative for more information.
Load new software release
As new releases of Meridian MAX 8 software are developed, you can
purchase an updated version of the software and install it onto your
Meridian MAX 8. To install the software, you perform the load new
software release procedure. Refer to the Meridian MAX 8 Upgrade Guide
(NTP 553-4001-210), “Loading a new software release” chapter for more
information.
