Configuring the High-Speed Link on the Option 11
To configure the High-Speed Link on the Option 11, follow the steps in
Procedure 12-5.

To configure the High-Speed Link on the Option 11
1 Check the options on the Serial Data Interface (SDI) circuit pack.
Follow the instructions for Circuit Card Installation and Testing in the
Option 11 Installation Guide
(NTP 553-3011-210) for the type of SDI
circuit pack being used. The Meridian MAX port needs to be set for the
following:
Port Address: x
The range for x is 1 to 15.
Interface: xxx
Arrange the port for a modem interface. For a direct connection, use
DTE.
Data Transfer Rate:
Enter 9600 baud as the data transfer rate (baud rate).
2 Before you can “out” or “remove” the TTY, you must first disable it in
Load 48.
Load Overlay 48. Enter LD 48.
DIS ESDI x
x is the port where the High-Speed Link will be configured.
3 Configure the Option 11 database for Meridian MAX. Use document
X11 Features and Services
(NTP 553-3001-305) and the following
guidelines. For prompts not listed, press {ENTER} to select the default
value. In the configuration data block (Overlay program 17), define the
following values:
REQ CHG
TYPE CFN
CFN is the configuration record.
IOTB YES
The IOTB prompt appears only in X11 releases prior to Release 18.
ADAN aaa TTY
x
x is the TTY port, and aaa
must be NEW or CHG (for example, NEW
TTY 2).
