To congure this option, type the host name in System Name.
TCP Idle Timeout
This option lets you specify how long TCP/IP stays open when there is no trac. If the network is busy, there may
be a delay in the packet transmissions. In this case, you might want to specify a longer timeout value.
To assign or change the TCP idle timeout, type the timeout value in seconds in the text box.
TCP/IP Conguration Method
This option lets you specify how the HP Jetdirect print server obtains its TCP/IP conguration. This is a quick
method for resetting the IP stack on the HP Jetdirect print server, forcing it to try and obtain an IP conguration
through BOOTP or DHCP.
NOTE: The current HP Jetdirect print server TCP/IP conguration is erased.
●
BOOTP Server: Forces the HP Jetdirect print server to obtain its TCP/IP conguration on the network
through a BOOTP server, if one exists and if the print server conguration parameters have been dened.
When you save the conguration, the HP Jetdirect print server immediately resets its IP address to 0.0.0.0.
If a BOOTP conguration does not occur within a short period of time, the IP address defaults to
192.0.0.192.
●
DHCP Server: Forces the HP Jetdirect print server to obtain its TCP/IP conguration on the network through
a DHCP server, if one exists and if the print server conguration parameters have been dened. When you
save the conguration, the print server immediately resets its IP address to 0.0.0.0. If a DHCP conguration
does not occur within a short period of time, the IP address defaults to 192.0.0.192.
●
Auto IP: Automatically congure the IP address.
To recongure the HP Jetdirect print server, select the conguration method option.
TCP/IP Domain Sux
Use this option to add domain suxes to the DNS suxes list, which is a list of domain names for the printer. The
DNS suxes list may contain up to 31 entries. Each sux can have up to 255 letters, numbers, or dots. If you
remove all entries from the DNS suxes list, all suxes are removed from the device as well.
Use the following steps to congure this option:
1. To add a new sux, type the new sux in Sux name and click Add Sux.
2. To remove a sux from the DNS suxes list, select the sux and click Remove. To remove all suxes from
this list, click Remove All. You do not have to select any suxes if you are removing all entries in the list.
Upload CA Certicate
Use this option to upload a certicate authority (CA) certicate to the network interface card (NIC) on the device.
You can upload root CA certicates and intermediate CA certicates. You cannot upload user certicates.
