Removing the sh

ipping lock

CAUTION:

Y ou must remove the shipping lock before you power up the unit. If you do not, the robotic transport

mechanism will not be able to move.

The shipping lock prevents the robotic transport mechanism from m oving during shipment. The shipping

lock is held in place with a piece of tape and is located in the top center of the autoloader (see Figure 3).

After the shipping lock is removed, it should be stored on the back panel of the autoloader, so that it is

easily accessible, if you need to ship the autoloader to another location.

T o remove and store the shipping lock:

1. Locate the tape and shipping lock at the top of the autoloader (see Figure 3).

2. Remove the tape, then remove the shipping lock.

3. Store the shipping lock on the back panel of the autoloader as shown in Figure 4.

Reﬁtting the shipping lock

If you need to return or ship an autoloader, it is important that you reﬁt the lock before shipping. This

prevents damage during transportation.

1. Power off the unit, using the power button on the front of the unit.

2. This should return the robotics to the home position. Reinsert the shipping lock for shipment and stick

some tape across the top of it so that it does not fall out during transit.
